Issue
A sewage treatment plant in Malaysia receives domestic sewage from urban residents and industrial waste water from enterprises every day. Most of the sewage contains detergent, household garbage and corrosive sewage. Among them, if the sewage is discharged without being cleaned, it will endanger the soil, water resources and people’s lives. With the improvement of people’s living standards and the concentration of population, this will require sewage treatment plants to improve their sewage treatment capacity and build more sewage ponds.
A Malaysian customer left a message on the Google Geomembrane website to tell us that he needed a HDPE pond liner for sewage treatment and asked about the price of the 2mm pond liner. Through the email, we learned that the customer wanted the geomembrane pond liner we provided to be acid and alkali resistant, corrosion resistant, and long-life geomembrane. He hoped that we could solve this problem and propose a new plan. Based on our BPM team’s 11 years of exporting HDPE pond liner sheet experience, we recommended 2mm pond liner and 1.5mm HDPE pond liner to him.
Solution
BPM often recommended ASTM standard geomembrane pond liner to customers, which can effectively isolate soil pollution from sewage. We recommended customers to use HDPE pond liner with thickness of 1.5mm and 1.0mm. Based on experience, the thicker the geomembrane pond liner, the longer the service life if it is in the same sewage environment. The testing indicators of 2.0mm geomembrane are higher than those of 1.0mm. After the customer received the samples, he hoped to use 2mm pond liner, which can reduce the maintenance cost of the sewage treatment tank in the future. Then we sent the geomembrane sample and TRI test certificate to the customer, as well as the geomembrane project case we have done in the past. The samples arrived in Malaysia one week later, and the customer was very satisfied with the quality of the samples. In order to further deepen the understanding of our products, the Malaysian customer told us that he needed a video factory inspection. On the afternoon of the arrival of the samples, we gave the customer a detailed introduction of the complete process from raw materials to produce to loading in the form of on-site video. The customer agreed with this production mode very much. After the customer saw our production process and the tensile test experiment, they recognized the professionalism of BPM geomembrane pond liner.
High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is a high-density version of PE plastic, which is harder and denser than LDPE, and lighter than water. This effectively prevents air and groundwater pollution. The tensile strength at yield of HDPE pond liner can reach 29KN/M, and the breaking strength is higher than 53kn/m. - High strength. The tensile strength at yield can reach 29kn/m, the tensile strength at break can reach 53kn/m, and the ductility is good. The elongation at yield is 13% to 16%, and the elongation at break is 700% to 800%. Has good surface compliance and weather resistance. When it reaches its apex, the strain force is about 1000%.
