Geotextile geomembrane lining system is the ideal geosynthetic materials in construction for a variety of landfill projects including waste containment, water containment, industrial project, energy project and mining, etc. Geotextile is robust and durable for civil construction applications such as roads, harbors, reservoirs, canals, dams and many others landfill construction project to improve soil stability, provide erosion control or aid in drainage. Modern landfill projects generally require a layer of geotextile with a minimum required thickness and a maximum allowable hydraulic conductivity, overlaid by a HDPE geomembrane liner material as anti-seepage lining system for bottom landfill liner, landfill sealing cover, leachate regulating pool liner, etc. So geotextile geomembrane installed together can fulfill the special requirement for landfill projects.
Tensile strength represents the ability for geotextile geomembrane to resist tensile stress. HDPE geomembrane is most commonly tested for tensile strength using one of three methods; the uniaxial tensile test described in ASTM D639-94, the wide-strip tensile test described in ASTM D4885-88, and the multiaxial tension test described in ASTM D5617-94. The difference in these three methods lies in the boundaries imposed into the test specimens. Uniaxial tests do not provide lateral restraint during testing and thus tests the sample under uniaxial stress conditions. During the wide-strip test the geotextile geomembrane sample is restrained laterally while the middle portion is unrestrained. The multi-axial tensile test provides a plane stress boundary condition at the edges of the geotextile geomembrane sample.
Our client from Chile found us through the website and tell us a detailed description and size of his project. According to our ten years’ industrial experience as the HDPE landfill liner material manufacturer and service provider, we recommended 400g/m2 filament geotextile as the bottom lining system and the 2mm HDPE geomembrane as waterproof system, and sent geotextile geomembrane samples to facilitate their testing. Since the client required all the order l geotextiles geomembrane products to meet the American standard and the customer had his own experimental equipment.
BPM immediately prepared the sample of 2mm HDPE geomembrane and 400g/m2 Pet woven geotextile 10 pcs, A4 size, and sent it to the customer .The customer received the sample and began to test. A week later, he told us that he was very satisfied with our geotextile geomembrane products and signed the contract.
